Sonny Dykes Underappreciated- for the second time in 3 years Dykes has SMU off to a 5-0 start, he has also for the second time brought in a Big 12 transfer at QB and resurrected their career this time former Oklahoma QB Tanner Mordecai who has thrown for 1,569 yards and 24 touchdowns in just 5 games, the Mustangs have beaten TCU twice in Fort Worth in 3 seasons and can make the case of being the third best football program in the state since 2019 behind only Texas and Texas AM

QB Bo Nix Auburn- a week after getting benched against Georgia State nix threw for 255 yards and rushed for 74 yards collecting 2 total touchdowns and rallying the team from 9 points down in the fourth quarter to beat LSU in Baton Rouge for the first time since 1999
RB Tiyon Evans Tennessee- rushed for 156 yards and 3 touchdowns on just 15 carries to propel the Vols to a 62-24 win at Missouri
LB David Ojabo Michigan- registered 2.5 sacks along with 7 total tackles and a forced fumble helping lead the Wolverines to a 38-17 victory at Wisconsin
