1. Clemson- The Tigers lost 3 of their last 4 games which included a lopsided 21-point loss to Boston College in ACC Tournament which dropped them to a 6 seed. This, however, is a team that put together quite a resume throughout the year. They picked up non-conference wins over 5 Tournament teams (UAB, Boise State, Alabama, TCU, and South Carolina) and knocked off UNC on the road on Feb. 6th. They are extremely efficient on offense ranking in the top 60 in FG% and turnovers per possession.
2. Utah State- In HC Danny Sprinkle’s first season in Logan the Aggies posted a 27-6 record, 8 coming against Quad 1 teams, while going a perfect 17-0 against Quad 3 and 4 teams. Offensively they are extremely efficient ranking in top 40 in FG%, assists per possession, and FT attempts per FG attempt.
3. Yale- The Bulldogs, the Ivy League regular season and tournament champions, are well rounded ranking in the top 100 in both offensive and defensive FG% as well as rebound margin. They are also battle tested having faced both Gonzaga and Kansas on the road along with NCAA Tournament participants Colgate and Vermont in the non-conference. Seven-foot Sophomore F Danny Wolf (14.5 ppg, 9.7 rpg) leads the team in both scoring and rebounds.
