9. New Orleans (9-8)

Good News- the defense added former number 1 overall pick DE Chase Young to strengthen the leagues’ 28th ranked pass rush in 2023

Bad News- the Saints O-line, which ranked 8th in sacks allowed last year, must replace OL James Hurst and All-Pro RT Ryan Ramczyk (chronic knee issues)

10. Chicago (7-10)

Good News- number 1 overall pick QB Caleb Williams will benefit from a beefed-up receiving corps following the addition of veteran Keenan Allen (San Diego) along with 1st round pick Rome Odunze (Washington)

Bad News- outside of DE Montez Sweat the defense lacks pass rushers and a tough back end of the schedule features road games against Detroit, San Francisco, Minnesota, and Green Bay

11. Minnesota (7-10)  

Good News- QB Sam Darnold will have WR Justin Jefferson, TE TJ Hockenson, RB Aaron Jones to work with

Bad News- the defense must replace its’ top 2 pass rushers from last year in LB’s Danielle Hunter and D.J. Wonnum (24.5 combined sacks)

12. Arizona (4-13)

Good News- QB Kyler Murray is healthy and now has a top pick in WR Marvin Harrison Jr. to compliment TE Trey McBride who led the team with 81 receptions last season

Bad News- the front end of the schedule will be a challenge with 3 road games against Buffalo, San Francisco, and Green Bay in the first 6 weeks

13. NY Giants (6-11)

Good News- the addition of OLB Brian Burns from Carolina (20.5 sacks the past 2 seasons) should bolster the Giants 28th ranked pass rush

Bad News- the O-line surrendered 85 sacks last season and must improve in order to keep injury-prone QB Danielle Jones on the field

OVER/UNDER TOTAL WINS 6.5 


14. Seattle (9-8)

Good News- new HC Mike Macdonald offers a change of pace for the Seahawks after winning just 1 playoff game in Pete Carroll's final 7 seasons

Bad News- QB Geno Smith’s completion percentage and QB rating, and touchdowns passes all dropped following his superb season in 2022

15. Carolina (2-15)

Good News- the Panthers added free agent Guards Robert Hunt (Miami) and Damien Lewis (Seattle) following a disastrous 2023 in which the O-line yielded 65 sacks

Bad News- QB Bryce Young’s rookie season was a struggle tossing 10 INT’s and completing under 60% of his passes and the departure of Brian Burns on defense leaves a big void at LB

16. Washington (4-13)

Good News- 2nd overall pick QB Jayden Daniels has a deep and talented backfield as well as 1,000-yard receiver Terry McLaurin to work with

Bad News- Daniels will be protected by a completely rebuilt O-line after the unit ranked 30th in the NFL in sacks allowed in 2023
