San Francisco’s rushing offense vs Kansas City’s rushing defense- The Chiefs have been inconsistent against the run ranking 17th in the NFL (113.2 ypg). The defense held Baltimore, the league’s top rushing offense, to only 81 yards in the AFC Championship but allowed 374 combined yards in the prior 2 wins against Miami and Buffalo. Christian McCaffrey and the 49ers' 3rd ranked rushing attack will be another tough task for coordinator Steve Spagnuola’s unit.
Field Goal Kicking- Chiefs’ kicker Harrison Butker has been superb converting 40 out of 42 FG attempts on the year including a perfect 6 for 6 for 50-plus yards. 49ers’ kicker Jake Moody has connected on 24 out of 30 attempts, which ranks 26th in the league, and has also missed 2 out of 5 attempts so far in the Playoffs.
Turnovers- San Francisco ranks 5th in the NFL in takeaways per game at 1.6 while Kansas City has averaged 1.5 giveaways per game on the year, ranking 24th in the league. The 49ers average only 1 giveaway per game ranking 3rd in the league while the Chiefs have averaged just 1.1 takeaways per game sitting at 26th in NFL.
